In their 1990 Review article, Ian stir and Richard Hofferbert analyzed the relationship between art, platform emphases, have the direction of of the White House, and national control spending priorities, reporting potent evidence of a party mandate" connection between them. Gary King and Michael Laver favorably replicate the original analysis, critique the interpretation of the causal consequences and present a reanalysis showing that platforms have small or nonexistent validitys on spending.
